How food-secure is South Africa?

The Human Sciences Research Council, together with the Centre of Excellence in Food Security hosted a seminar about food security and nutrition in South Africa. South Africa today is recognised as one of the most food secure countries on the continent of Africa. But could land reform and urbanisation threaten this? Professor Andries du Toit, director of PLAAS at the University of the Western Cape, spoke to eNCA's Joanne Joseph from our Cape Town studio.
