Land tenure reform, traditional authorities and rural local government (1997–99)

This collaborative project with the Department of Land Affairs (DLA) aimed to develop policy options, at both national and provincial level, for the role of traditional authorities in land tenure systems and local government structures. In-depth-field fieldwork was carried out in two sites in the Eastern Cape province: Tshezi/Coffee Bay and Guba. Research report no. 3
