Pan-African Programme on Land and Resource Rights

This networking programme aimed to develop and articulate a Pan-African voice on land and resource rights, policies and advocacy, and engage with other stakeholders at regional and international research and policy-making events. The main activities of the PAPLRR programme were participation at key and strategic international meetings, sub-regional policy workshops on land and resource rights in east, west, north and southern Africa, and a series of international workshop for selected policy makers and representatives of international organisations. A declaration on land and resource rights in Africa was drawn up at the Lagos workshop and was widely circulated at the World Summit on Sustainable Development and other forums. PAPLRR also produced a number of publications.
