Biography

Sociologist-historian, Mahamat Abdoulaye Malloum worked for about ten years in the land administration of Chad in urban and rural areas. Currently, he is preparing a Doctoral thesis on land governance at the University of Maroua (Cameroon) and is working as a local consultant for Kadaster International as part of a project to improve chad’s land administration. He is the rapporteur of the Land Legislation Review Commission because the process is currently underway and the focal point of the Ministry of Land Affairs at the level of the Land Observatory of Chad.  Very active in the Chadian sector, Malloum participates in the horizontal learning network of the LAND-at-scale program and is the focal point of the Initiative for Land in Africa (Yilaa) in Chad. He is also the author of several articles and communications on land in Chad.
