Biography

Dr. Saheed Olaide JIMOH is a grassland scientist whose research interests include forage production, conservation and utilization, grassland ecology and management, climate change, rangeland socio-ecological systems, and conservation policy. He was awarded the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Scholarship for his PhD, Beijing Government Scholarship to support his PhD and the Federal Government of Nigeria Postgraduate Scholarship for his master’s degree. Dr. Saheed enjoys generating new ideas and researching feasible solutions to broadly relevant challenges in grassland ecology and management to advance science and humanity. He has actively collaborated with peers in agriculture and several other disciplines, leading to the publication of 26 journal articles in local and international periodicals, 1 book chapter, and numerous conference proceedings. He is passionate about and open to collaboration on research concepts that promotes a sustainable environment at all scales—his research impacts in multidimensional ways: Agriculture, Environment, and Policy. Dr. Saheed is a reviewer for several high-rank journals, including the Journal of Environmental Management, Rangeland Ecology and Management, Ecology and Evolution, and Journal of Applied Ecology. He is an Associate Editor for the African Journal of Range and Forage Science – Africa’s leading rangeland and pastoral journal. Dr. Saheed is the founder and lead consultant at Leadvert Limited – an educational service firm that focuses on academics, research, public speaking about education, and scholarship-related services.
