Biography

Antonio Stuurman grew up in Keetmanshoop, Namibia. The town of Keetmanshoop is a small town in Southern Namibia. 

After completing my Matric, he completed his National Diploma in Legal Studies at the Institute of Commercial Management. He then enrolled at the University of South Africa (UNISA) and completed his Bachelor of Laws degree in 2021. In 2010 I was fortunate to be employed on Contract by the Namibia University of Science and Technology as invigilator for the Examination Assessments. I was subsequently promoted to the position of Student Support Assistance in the same year. In 2011 I was recruited as the Regional Coordinator at the Regional Centre of the Namibia University of Science and Technology.

He is passionate about land, environmental law, social justice and biodiversity. He was involved with the Landless People’s Movement Political party that started to agitate on the need for land reform centred on restorative justice and equity. He has played a key role at the /Hai‐/Khaua Traditional Authority as Junior Councillor and advisor to the Chief Johannes Isaacks.
