Biography
Gloria Oyoo is a professional Land Administration Officer who believes in Women Land Rights. She knows how important it is to have good laws in Governing Land. She was driven to pursue Land Administration by her own experience while growing up as a girl in a community where women were discriminated against by harsh laws and customs in their ability to own ,access and use land.
She was educated at the Technical University of Kenya with a Bachelors in Land Administration. She has vast experience working in the private and government sector. She has worked on a project of digitising the informal settlements while in college.
She is currently working in the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development.
She is among the pioneers who are transforming land in Kenya from paper archives into the digital space. She is advocating for a good political framework across Africa which will promote women’s land rights ,and develop tools for equitable land access.
