Guemeni Tchokokam Charnelle

Biography

Guemeni Tchokokam Charnelle is a student of Physical Geography. She started her undergraduate studies at the University of Yaounde, Cameroon where she successfully completed her Bachelors degree in Physical Geography. She is currently pursuing her studies in Master 2 at the University of Buea, Cameroon. Her research topic is on land issues and marketable carbon dynamics in the western highlands of Cameroon, a case study of Bapouh-bana Forest Reserve. Recently she was part of the workshop on labour market integration of NELGA graduates in Cameroon (October 2022) where she gained the knowledge on specific challenges related to the professional intergradation of young graduates in the land sector into the Cameroon labour market. She also took part in the one-month online training programme on sustainable land Governance, organised by the YILAA (Youth Initiative on Land Governance in Africa) Training Centre, from the 23rd of November to the 23 of December 2022 for which she received a certificate of completion. She is currently a member of the Association of Young Experts on Land Issues in Cameroon (AJEF).
