Biography
Juanita Esguerra-Rezk is a Ph.D. candidate in Peace and Development Research at the School of Global Studies (University of Gothenburg, Sweden). Her doctoral dissertation explores how peasant identities in Cajamarca (Tolima, Colombia) are transformed and articulated in the context of the avocado boom from an intersectional lens. She holds an MA in Global Affairs from the University of Notre Dame (Indiana, USA) and a B.A in Political Science from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá (Colombia).
