Judy Kawira

Biography

Judy Kawira has close to a decade of experience in the establishment of Land Information Management Systems, advocacy in land governance and land policy and land use planning in Kenya. She has previously worked and consulted for local and international organisations such as Pamoja Trust, Economic and Social Right Centre Hakijamii and Africa Population and Health Research Centre (APHRC), FairTrade Africa through Precise Consultants, Kenya, Kirinyaga County Government and many others. She has led and successfully implemented projects with these organisations.

She received a B.Sc. in Land Administration, from the Technical University of Kenya, Nairobi, Kenya (2015), a M.Sc. degree in Urban Management from the University of Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya (2022) as well as a professional course in Certified Public Accountancy (CPA) from KASNEB.

She is presently a Lecturer in the School of Surveying and Spatial Sciences, Department of Cadastre and Land Administration at the Technical University of Kenya, Nairobi, Kenya. She lectures on Land Information Systems, Land policy, Land Use Analysis and Land Tenure. Judy is a graduate member of the Institute of Surveyors of Kenya (ISK).
