Eddie Beangar

Eddie Beangar is a passionate natural resources professional committed to applying his extensive knowledge of natural resource management and best practices to improve Liberians access to land as well as the benefits of land economics.He has over 10 years of experience in natural resource management and best practices to prevent, protect and preserve native wildlife, plants, or ecosystems as well as ensuring that the land administration systems, laws, and procedures that are put in place and do not adversely affect the rights of groups and individuals.He is the current Land Administrator of Nimba County, the largest county in Liberia. He graduated from the University of Liberia with a BSc in General Forestry. In 2017, Mr. Beangar received the Best Civil servant award from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.In 2020, he was awarded the best Land Administrator award in Liberia. He is also leading efforts to remove barriers to information in Nimba by ensuring that his staff is working with local communities to disseminate information in a way that is easily understood by both women and men as well as documenting and sharing lessons learned and best practices in Liberia as a whole.
