Siviwe Mdoda

Siviwe Mdoda started working in the land sector in 2002 as a researcher on the state of landlessness in fishing communities in the Western Cape. He worked at Trust for Communities Outreach and Education, a rural development organization, from 2004-2014 as a Program Officer responsible for movement-building. In those years he was instrumental in facilitating the formation of land rights forums in three provinces, which served as platforms for collectives of the landless to organize themselves. In 2014 he joined the Right2Know Campaign as national organizer and later played a role in the governance of the organization. In 2018 he joined Tshisimani as a Land Justice Educator where he works with land occupiers and small-scale producers in both urban and rural settings.
