Tagesse Abo Melketo is an Assistant Professor of Development Studies at the Department of Rural Development and Agricultural Extension, Wolaita Sodo University. His PhD research areas include smallholder farm households’ livelihood diversification strategies to contribute on agrarian development and rural poverty alleviation. His research interest is multidisciplinary with particular focus on rural livelihoods, food security, poverty analysis, pastoral and agro-pastoral anthropology, human resilience to vulnerability, climate change, mobility and migration studies, land tenure and land policy, and social transformation.
