Biography
Patrick grew up in northern Tanzania, where he developed a strong interest in the preservation of the African ecosystem. He grew up surrounded by forest scenes, wildlife sounds, and fragrances. As nature was such an important part of his life, he had a strong desire to work in conservation. His involvement in an anti-poaching activity, weekends spent volunteering with birds and reptiles, and persistent attempts to learn about his backyard species and its taxonomy reinforced his sense of commitment to conserve what he loved. This led him to his undergraduate degree in Wildlife Management at the College of African Wildlife Management in Mweka. He is currently a Wildlife Management Officer in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where he oversees protection of wildlife species in the reserve
