Biography

Sharon Simbachako is a young, vibrant and self-driven Agricultural Economist with great enthusiasm and passion in the Agricultural sector mainly focusing on agricultural research, project proposal, policy analysis, land governance and development economics. She holds an MSC and BSc (Honours) degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics both from the University of Zimbabwe. She is very good at conducting research along with data analysis, projects monitoring and report writing. She also has experience in animal and crop production with a hands-on approach. She is adept in community engagement including encouraging an environment for effective collaboration between stakeholders. She also has excellent interpersonal and leadership skills making it easier to deal with different kinds of people. She is currently working as a Research Associate with the Centre for Agriculture and Food Policy (CAFP). Prior to joining the organisation, she worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the University of Zimbabwe under the Agricultural Economics Department. She has also worked with CIMMYT as an intern.
