Biography
Unathi Mbiza joined PLAAS in July 2022 as a Senior Student Assistant. She works closely with Front of House staff and provides general admin support. She holds a BA LLB from the University of the Western Cape and is currently registered for Masters in Law. Her work experience includes being a Student Assistant for UWC Residential Services. She has also worked as a Contact Centre Agent for Customer Services at The Foschini Group. She was a Brand Ambassador for the Student Development Support Department (DVS SDS) at the University of the Western Cape. Additionally, she volunteered as a newspaper (The Core) Journalist for the same department. She was a member of the Student Leadership Incubator Programme at the University of the Western Cape. Furthermore, she was a mentee for the South African Chapter of the International Association of Women Judges (SACIAWJ).
